What we do
We write about novel, counterintuitive and curious findings from clinical psychology and psychotherapy research and practice.
If you are a therapist or psychologist, love your work and want to do it as well as you can, there might be some nuggets for you here.
If you like getting to grips with the latest developments in clinical practice, stick around.
If you enjoy grappling with ideas and research, but don’t always have the time to sift through the chaff, you are in the right place.
If you like wrestling with naked monkeys in jelly, you are not in the wrong place and will receive unconditional positive regard.
You will not be spammed by frivolous posts. We will drop a post once or twice a fortnight. They will be clinically (and pleasurably) significant. That is to say, we will provide lively, digestible and thought provoking explorations of topics that are important for clinicians.
Topics will include:
Translating clinical experience into improved outcomes for service users
Developments and debates in exposure therapy
Metaphors that lead clinicians astray
Research methods that are accessible to full time clinicians (e.g. single case experimental designs)
The research-practice gap
Systems theory
Who we are
